Beelining For Release

Things are definitely ramping up. At the Battlefront.com HQ readiness is being increased for the fielding of Gustav Line, a module for Combat Mission: Fortress Italy, their World War II tactical ground combat simulation.


Campaigning Afloat

We received word from the admiralty. A campaign expansion for Naval Warfare Simulations' Steam And Iron, a World War I naval simulator, has left port and is seeing active duty right now, mostly in the North Sea apparently.

Blizzard Entertainment shows its hand. In a surprise move the industry behemoth famous for such landmark real-time strategy series as Warcraft and Starcraft is now entering the free-to-play market with Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, a digital collectible card game.


Kick in the door, with the M4

Time to make an entrance. Door Kickers, from Killhouse Games, is currently seeking crowdfunding, via themselves rather than Kickstarter. An Alpha build is now available  for this SWAT simulator,  that includes 22 missions, realistic tactics and weapons, with randomised enemy placement and weaponry so there is replay value while they get funded and finish the game off with a campaign mode, mission generator, and further bits and bobs.


Casting Initiated

Fizzle and pop? Nope - zap! The new stand-alone expansion Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes can now be pre-purchased on Steam, granting immediate access to the current beta version to those heroic enough to be cast there ahead of the rest.
