Then aliens start to pop out and doing some heavy damage - I'll have to whip those scientists to get us that damn shields. No use hanging round there. Karin and SV had no option but run away. Aliens galore... That will make them busy for a while. Crap I hope that someone kill him. Blasted aliens and their luck... now Veki must turn tail. Alright NKF show them what you've got. They are everywhere. I wish I packed some rocket launchers. More NKF crazy actions. Kill them all. This one had brainsucker launcher. Better destroy that thing. Wasn't planning on destroying other loot but our heads are more important. This multiworm just spat 3 times, 3 hits and all injuries, God she was lucky. Take that - the more we kill the better chance of them panicking. While shooting at the flying skeletoids Sgt. Strike demolished some upper walkways. I just started superhuman, shoot down 15 small UFOs and Transtellar is already unfriendly to me (0 damage done to city). @ silencer_plPhew, that was close! silencer_pl Posted July 17, 2012 Author Share Posted July 17, 2012 Next stop - Technocrats Corporate HQ - their only building and since they don't like me very much I will not fuck around. Me and Azrael are using Mini launchers - little self guided missiles that does medium damage and little blast area - 5 missiles per clip so it's pretty awesome. Corporate HQ is just one huge building a pretty neat map. As we go to the the main entrance stairs we are attacked by some guards. Upon entering the building I notice this. Don't know how about you but this scene looks pretty hilarious for me. Never mind the bad joke there is this worm here. This sucker failed to jump. Beats me why, he is dead now. Using this launcher only glass walls weren't spared, also I don't know how this worm managed to spawn behind closed door. On the ground floor we see some Anthropods. Hello... ... goodbye They know we are coming. No use of escaping Thornodor and Sgt Strike are on duty. Bang on. They don't mean anything in the city so I don't take pity on them. If they want to be on our bad side well... more money is always nice. I don't know what action caused this but after those 2 battles Transtellar reduced payment from 47k to 37k... well I think they don't like either Nutrivend or Technocrats. Ok... blast them. Good call too. There was third hidden and two of them had primed grenades... No escaping, no surrender. Another funny moment. There was brainsucker there snipped with snap shot. God damn it - why right clicking auto fire at civilians... well he was blocking the way 2 turns in a row.... And we catch up with the worm. 8 wounded... Now let's check the NKF rule... All right... let's go. First stop General Metro(Motors ) factory. By the way - did you know that the agent faces are named after some famous movie stars or VIPs? Sometimes they spawn up but your general movement should be to go down.And so we did. Don't know how but we managed to spot through the ramp little worm there. Good thing I have grenades. Killing those 2 worms was all there to it. That means other will not be so easy. Next stop. Megapol Rescue Station. Now tell me this NKF. Aliens after infiltration drop should spawn one other infiltration drop in nearest building or can they make two or spawn the second one more than 1 building away. Because as you see we had drops in the place were my cursor is pointing and the large apartments just to the south. Meanwhile the infiltration graph shows that points of interests are Megapol Rescue Station were are we heading and Sensovision Appartments just left of it. We managed to walk half of the map to spot him just by a inch of being sitting ducks. He ate 4 rockets. They were tasty. Suddenly we are attacked form the right flank. This trio didn't have shields so they ate rockets. Yeah those cloacking units... more rockets for you. He isn't very smart. We hunt for more. There is one place that they can be if we didn't see them already. Oh.. hello. Please be dead. Or better please be mind controlled. Well well... good catch. Ok team, save NKF with some stun grenades maybe. That is one big infiltration squad. I would perfectly understand if he did pissed his pants. So one more mission bagged and tagged. The Hollywood names in XED were to work with the old Tinsel town face pack that turned your agents into movie actors, and I think one of the androids into a Patlabor. Any infiltrated building can infiltrate buildings adjacent to them. I don't know the exact rules, but I suspect if they get strong enough, they can start infecting adjacent buildings with a small amount of infiltration, so yes you can indeed have buildings two blocks away get infiltrated. I've actually encountered situations where a few hours after clearing out the original drop site that it got re-infiltrated by a few aliens. This is why things get so out of hand with call outs happening all over the place if you don't keep an eye on the infiltration levels in the surrounding buildings after clearing the main drop site. - NKF Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Team set and prepared to go. It shouldn't take long. Alien movement takes quite fast. Not surprising as we've seen huge force in previous mission. There is one of them. And here is the second one. Now we can rest. Yes finally. Now our chances raised a lot. And I forgot that Entropy Launcher is for biology team. It's nice and quiet but our nurses have a lot of work. We are paying of Transtellar and Superdynamics because we need them. Having transtellar again not on our bad side we do some transfers to other base. We also need few more soldiers and scientists. This here Brett is a very nice looking (statistics) hybrid. We hire him for the main base as a substitute psyker. And Arthur will go to the second one. UFO time. I see a pattern here when you destroy at least one FAS UFO. They delivered their payload but at least I've managed to shot down one of them. They definitely want them infiltrated. Also hmm... looks like NKF was right again. And of course messing with UFOs is messing with Transtellar. But now we don't need them any more. So screw you. Our teams aren't in full strength but we send both squads. Our main squad will go after that UFO and the second will go check that Evonet sewage system. We rushed to the entrance. Let's see what scanner has to say. Yes fascinating. It takes practice but mastery is rewarded. We couldn't shoot him so we let NKF loose. They exit the UFO fire few shots but we laugh at them. We have shields and we are better. You know it's one one hand a nice sight letting NKF go wild on the other well it brings fear of what he can do. This fellow here fired few shots at me but the rocket or whatever you can call it hit the webbing(?) and delivered 0 damage. I would laugh at it anyway because of my shields. If we get teleporters and Disruptor Armour every mission should be easy like a fart. They come to us and we let NKF ninja style them. More aliens to kill. For the first time I saw power sword miss completely. NKF swing his sword few times but it looks like that Auto Fire + cloak field = very high chance to miss.... Although less experienced than the first one with shields you can just do about anything and live to tell the tale. If bigger this map can be a nuisance because it is divided into 2 sectors. And those two sectors are divided into floors. First half is the one with ramps. Second is with pipes and in this map there is only one connection with both sectors. Right from the start he greets us with boom. See - we are perfectly safe from such traps. Just checking and I had a hunch. We find more at the second sector way on the other side of the map. Other agents will take a turn or two to get there. So let's hide. Hey, I've made him panic or rather he went berserk and shot air. I tell you evil air is upon us. First team arrives at Psyke slums territory. It looks like we were given a shooting range for start. It looks like in the first turn Enemies don't have full TU's like it was in previous games. We make good use of the opening round. Aliens decided to charge head on. This didn't turn out quite well for them. Actually since we got those shields we feel kind of cocky. Looks like they have change same layout. 6 people, 1 squad but the game decided to seperate us anyway. After few turns we spot first aliens. And other type of enemies. We shoot them down fast. NKF is fired upon and some aliens charge in but we make sure that is their mistake. We pulverise them and meddle with their minds. He will do just nice for decoy I think. NKF slashed two skeletoids and tries to get away. Wintermist spots Technocrat guard and feeds him with plasma fire. And finds multiworm. Fires few shots and gets away. Few more guards appear and eat rockets. Sustaining few more shots NKF slashes through remaining Anthropods. And I didn't see him for quite a while in infiltration missions.
