silencer_pl
This is not AvP We arrive at Procreation Clinic. Teams are set and good to go. This is where we entered. And this is section where all the embryos become babies. We scout again 3/4 of the location we were dropped to find aliens just in that quarter. She is very lucky of surviving brainsucking as other just watched. Finally we can start some action first this guy goes down. Then this bastard. Not taking other chances safe grenade to kill both but not harm that civilian. Thorondor must have married his AC as he is owning almost everything in close-mid range. My armor protected me well enough from 4 or 5 shots from disruptor gun. And she takes care of another two flying aliens. SV rushes and kills this Spitter. And there was a big chase after multiworm. But there was so many of us that eventually we killed it. Raising in the ranks and again the game tells that SV is not fit the role of sergeant. Now team prepares for the downed UFOs. silencer_pl
UFO crash site #1 reached. Team deployed Slowly moving to the ufo entrance 2 brainsuckers, pooper and spitter pop up in our way. Following on aliens decided to storm one of our positions. Because Anthropods are very bad shooters they miss completely. But we have more capable soldiers. If Thorondor had more TU's he would probably killed that 4th one. From the second corner of the map we spot more aliens. Our agents simply cut through the opposition. Aliens start to panic. And we kill all in a flash. Congratulations Captain. This was blitzkrieg type mission.
silencer_pl
Having done last mission so fast I've decided to give another a quick go. Captain Thorondor proves to be capable commander. Same deployment. This UFO is easy to capture but hard to shot down. We again move in same pattern. Aliens this time greet us faster and with more units at the same time. But our men are stronger. Now Thorondor is magic here. Although game shows that hitting this one was impossible aiming at the third one he actually killed the middle one. He isn't captain for nothing. On the other side brainsuckers. They are starting to lose it. Heavy barrage at Thorondor yet armor saves his skin. SV on the other hand gets injured. More aliens as we slowly cleave our way. More death when we shoot. This one didn't have chance to blow up in our faces. Aliens do try not to harm themselves. Even they know that suicide bombing isn't always a solution. Another great victory. We need more men for new promotions.
silencer_pl
We sell more disruptor guns we have gathered today. It gave us enough money to start construction of second repair garage. We will need it though it takes 5 days to build. If aliens decide to pay us a visit next day we will not have fighters ready to intercept. Also I have enough money to buy lineage plasma cannons. We will start to do some serious damage now. Meanwhile our scientists finished the study of chrysalis. Few hours later alarm rings. Team gears up. I even armed NKF with power sword and Marsec Armor. Even with his great strength of 72 he succumbs to the weight of armor but just slightly.

NKF
Backing up a little bit, that slum mission, was that 2-for-1 special with two slum blocks in the one map? That is, a castle slum and the giant 9-pillar slum? Memory's fuzzy on account of not playing the game in a while, but I seem to recall the graveyard was part of the castle slum. - NKF
silencer_pl
Correct on both. If you mean castle slum in the way that it had wall surrounding it and a gate.
silencer_pl
It's back to school you sorry lot, with NKF as new student. We are inside this corner and that is almost half of the map. Moving forward we spot open doors. NKF looks in and spots 2 Anthropods. He quickly stabs them in back. 2 powerful swings for each. Securing the room some hyperworms move in but that is their limit for current turn. She falls victim of brainsucking. It's a shame since she was developing pretty well. Ludymila does what was expected from here Thorondor style. 2 Hyperworms and skeletoid killed. Moving on we spot more aliens. NKF rushes in kills Spitter and when trying to get back he gets wounded in the back by Multiworm. We fire at the multiworm but we don't have HE rounds in the vicinity. Veki runs and throws grenade to kill those pesky hyperworms unfortunately one of them critically wounds him(her). On next turn we finish more multiworms. With again few injuries. This was clearly good start for NKF though in more open maps it will be a problem. Returning to base we sell some stuff and hire new soldiers. Just few more people and we will have 2 full teams.Day comes to an end. Scientists have finished working on this pile of poo. Another alarm. Let's go people. Thorondor
Captain, eh? Well, we'll celebrate right and proper later. :: For now let's see to cleaning up this alien mess - on with the fireworks boys!
silencer_pl
We arrive at the Flyer Factory. Checking on soldiers and it looks like SV gets his second medal. This is where we are and I don't very like this map. Though I think I hate mall more. We find aliens quick. Good thing they don't have radars 360deg like in EU/TFTD and he moves his path. We uncover more but when they were firing at us I have heard a very distinctive noise. Right... I am officially scared now. We let him check what is nearby. And try to make use of it. They are obsessed with killing their own but on the other side pooper runs and wrecks havoc. 3 of 4 are injured due to the blast. We are lucky with that 32% of mind control. We kill the one near the car. He had primed smoke grenade the one further in the back had a deep desire to run to us. Karin had brilliant reflexes and killed him before he could use that devastator. Having taken care of of all the Anthropods, this fellow goes berserk and we nail him. We await new day but aliens decide to send UFOs at 23:00.... hell my crafts are still in works... But taking care of that fast attack ufos last day they don't have any proper escort. So we beat them up. Those 2 scouts were destroyed and rest was downed. Unfortunately in this shoot out we pissed many and the major problem is that Transtellar is hostile to us now. We need 27k to appease them. Damn it. During the skirmish they manage to transport some forces to this police station. So of we go.
silencer_pl
After last mission I see that more medals are handed out. We arrive at the police station and spread out. It wasn't long when Aliens came to us. Azrael kills the first one but he drops primed grenade and hurts him. Kills the second and hides, while Ludimyla takes the third one. We move forward and spot another one. She moved such way that she opened door to other room where another Anthropod was located but not enough TUs left her at very risky position. We had to act fast. Team spots two more aliens. And another 2 in the corner Moving further we spot multiworm. And a brainsucker. This Anthropod lucky for us froze in panic and died through major wounds we gave him. And she was lucky to survive brainsucker attack. We move in and kill remaining multiworm. Promotions are given.
silencer_pl
This was very fast mission so we replaced wounded and went for the transporter UFO. I've left them here waiting for him to pop up. Few shots were fired but everything missed. Soon they to start exit the UFO. Good for us. And it looks like I forgot that I have one psionic without armor... well she will definitely stay way behind the others. We make use of that successful mind control. Thorondor moves in and blast the multiworm. It looks like this one didn't have hyperworms or they died before the multiworm was killed. On the upper floor there was another one and he managed to wound her. Moving on we find 3 spitters. And again we are not lucky and she gets wounded by 1 shot. Death and panic. Well SV I guess it is only being soldier for you. Strange that you were one of the first to reach rank of Squad Leader, one of the first to get first medal and the first one to get second medal. We have 12 wounded lucky few of them should recover for next day. Meanwhile I managed to have 10 healthy people and we move on for the next UFO. Better than being a commander only to be left to die for the AAR writer to climb to the post. KIDDING, KIDDING, really I am. Give me a decent gun and I'll do my duty, superiors! silencer_pl
Our still able to fight agents arrive at crash site They spread very unexpected. When I was playing this game in RT mode I normally used to put them on both edges of the crash site and waited for aliens to come. And I am planning to do this same way. Except that aliens decided to go very fast to the exit. And with Devastator Cannons they really are pain. 16% chance and success. She definitely will earn that kill. They are something different than Anthropods. Dead accurate with Devastators and tough to control with 65 defence. Their limited strength limits them from having any explosives. They are starting to come out. I hear those poopers there and I don't want to go inside. But a quick lookie will probably not hurt. Four kills. I will have to wait for that smoke to clear. We also notice them somehow. Come out, don't be shy. Be dead. It's time to assault the UFO. We need some good shooting now. Thank you. Now only spitters remain. They panic. And if you panic - you die. Good victory. We can end this day now. I am hoping for a free day so soldiers can get back to health. Our scientists can now tell us something about Anthropods. If only physicians could work fast like that. And because there is never rest...
silencer_pl
We arrive at the crime scene. Spread out and search. We find them fast.... Well good knowing you Veki. Hey, you are alive only injured. Veki kills that pooper and one hyperworm - it took quite a few laser shots on that worm. So NKF went into frenzy and slashed other worms. Our flyer girl went up and spotted Spitter. Meanwhile on the other side we spot 2 Anthropods and kill them without hesitation. Lone spitter panicked and we killed him. That was easy. Our scientists have finished digging into Anthropods corpse. And started on the Skeletoid Finally some rest. Thank you. Maybe I will be able to pay off Transtellar. Nope I am short 2k for that. This should give me endless supply of money. I thought about quiet day but UFOs had to show up again. Same load out as previous one. I've managed to shoot down the Assault type UFO and 3 scouts, Transporter UFO got away but I didn't see him plant any forces inside the city. Unfortunately we pissed even more Transtellar.... jeez, how can you love aliens when they are hear and try to brainsuck you.
Danimal
Hi, you know, there are some tricks to this game you can use, one is to hoard alien laser weapons (about 50 or more) and them selling all of them in one go for their full prize (not subjected to the market low and rise), you will have a somewhat hard time at first, but once you sell them, you will be swimming in money for months.Another trick is to left your airships inside corporation buildings that have good relationships with aliens or bad with you, this way when aliens see them coming out, they attack and the stray bullets hit the buildings rising or lowering relationships. silencer_pl
Hey. I know all this stuff and I know that market values are changing every week. I know that every one plays differently but that is the point of AAR's like Let's plays. You just watch how others play. Way back then I played differently then now I am playing. I could use this early warhound exploit for money. I could even spam hover bikes, but I like how I am playing right now give yourself sometimes a challenge as less exploiting as possible. silencer_pl
We land near UFO and again I have a lot of foot work to get to desired position. Aliens are more quicker to exit UFO. I am beginning to feel irritated by their strange luck on hitting anything in flight. But thankfully our psionics have luck too. This map has it's advantage - if you block the path they will look stupid and stand where they are. NKF slashed through them. On the other side - DIE. Time to scout the entrance. There was 4th pooper :/ They come in numbers. They die in numbers Thorondor style. More? That was heavy load out. They got stuck? And why I missed him while I exited the lift - oh well slashing time. Panic moar. Die Moar.
silencer_pl
New day, new discoveries. Some free time will do us good. Yey. At least our troops can train. And here comes new pack. 2 of our crafts were fully repaired so we have chance. Payload delivered but we managed to shoot down all of the UFOs. And curse you... They only are worthy because they sell fuel (not that we ever need more reserves) and better engines to our crafts...
NKF
I'm actually surprised the sword is seeing so much action in TB combat. If anything I was expecting it to be swapped out for close quarter combat only - but hey this makes it more exciting. By the way, are you actively watching for infiltration spikes after you've dealt with each of the alien drops? I just figured that with the alerts you're getting, some infiltration is being left unchecked. - NKF
silencer_pl
I've checked them at the beginning of this week - everything was under control. Might check again if you mentioned it. But shouldn't infiltration only occurs if I fail to catch the infiltration team when dropped ?
Veki
We find them fast.... Well good knowing you Veki.Hey, you are alive only injured. You're not getting rid of me that easily. And I'm a sniper. What am I doing on the front line?Great AAR so far.
silencer_pl
Ask SV he is the squad leader of this squad. Or you can go to Thorondor - he is the captain here Before the mission I've checked the infiltration percentages. They are all 0% including cult of sirus. So either I am doing really good or something fishy is round here. Anyway, we arrive at the slums area were aliens dropped some infiltration unit. Soon we find aliens. NKF slashed through thatn brainsucker and hid behind some trees. We are fortunate to mind control him and see what is behind. Well he make them busy for a turn. We snipe the second skeletoid. And with Thorondor we deal with that two. On the other side Veki kills another brainsucker. I thought that the remaining Anthropod will only have the company of one spitter... So I've calculated the distance and NKF went there and slew him, but he spotted 2 poopers and another spitter. I could only send him flying high enough that they will not know what to do. It left open space for more slashing. I must say that was very risky manoeuvre I did here Thronodor finishes off that Multiworm and we snipe the remaining spitter. Case closed. Now to get that UFOs. silencer_pl
First of the UFOs we will take care of is that Transporter type UFO. I sometimes don't understand this deployment mechanism. 3 squads all bunched together instead of spreading through whole map. One of the teams followed down the road. Some aliens were able to already exit. We kill them because they were not protected by anything serious. We enter UFO and nothing. When we start to prepare to storm the upper floor one of the Anthropods shot SV right into the face - literally. That was very painful. Immediately SV run away as far as he could. Our infirmary will have a lot work to do to restore his face. But now it is our turn. The second had primed grenade - typical behaviour of anthropods. Good thing we moved SV out of the harms way, because who knows if his armor would protect him from the explosion. NKF continued slashing remaining Anthropods, meanwhile we spot rest of the aliens on the other side of the UFO. I've decided to pay off superdynamics as they are more valuable right now more than Transtellar. And speaking of the devil - they raised their price - bloody Alien lovers.
