djlogue
Hey team,I'm playing tftd at the moment and its the first time I have attempted either EU or TFTD on superhuman mode. I have only ever gone as far as veteren. I know you have more enemys with more advanced weapons to face and have had one of my squads come face to face with a DPL loosing my 3 highest ranking soldiers but I seem to be making tons of progress and i'm only on my third day.(real time) I have already researched a live deep one and built an MC lab, I have all the sonic weapons and researching the DPL. I also have AP-armor and Things seem to be going swimmingly. My question is on harder difficulty do you detect less USO's making it harder to genorate high scores or is it just my sonars not picking them up. According to my graphs there is allot more activity in areas than I am picking up. I have built a secondary outpost on the other side of the globe to try and intercept more subs but they dont seem to be comming. Its nearly april ingame and I am only on USO 9 but I have had 2 port attacks. The council of funding nations seem pretty happy with me so i'm not to sure whats going on. Maybethe aliens are in the process of infiltraiting some goverments and i'm gonna be taking a big budget cut soon. Anyway if anyone knows how regular subs apear on superhuman mode can you let me know please.
Alienated
They are not more regular on superhuman than on beginner. But there are some things that can increase regularity. The probability of a retaliation mission after a shot-down USO is higher on superhuman. A retaliation mission (floating base attack) includes eight USO flights which increases the activity in number by about 30%. It can increase the activity in score even more as the seeker USOs wander to and from a lot. And I agree, superhuman mode can be the easiest one to beat the game the sooner-soonest. But I believe the game can be so hard for a beginner that the difference between superhuman and beginner modes isn't significant.
Bomb Bloke
High alien activity in an area may mean alien bases have been constructed there. Have some subs patrol areas you suspect (as in, have them sit still in a location for a game hour or two, move slightly, repeat, etc), see if you can find anything). Probably THE most likely place to catch landed alien subs is in the areas surrounding the islands north of Australia. The pacific ocean sees the least activity (probably because there's less human presense to prey off, it being the largest body of water out there), though the atlantic and indian oceans aren't too bad. Best hunting zones tend to be around the equator, you can go north a bit, but try to steer clear of the icecaps, there's not so much to see there.
