Bastiaan
Last weekend I walked around in a gamesshop when suddenly a box cought my eye. On the cover was a red hovercar with that 50/60's look followed by two hovering policecars. I guess the shop wanted to get rid of it because it only was 6 Euro, and I wanted to know what the game was about so I bought it. I just started playing so I don't know much about it because of all the stuff I have to do (where are the days when you could play the whole evening after school ) but it's about an undercoveragent who has to infiltrate with some big gang, you take jobs for money, like transporting equipment or a person or defend something while flying in this hovercar. This takes place in a starsystem on different planets in big cities like Megaprimus. Then about the connection to the x-com universe, I didn't came across dates in this game and as it isn't unthinkable that we have expanded to more starsystems around 2084 exept the Frontier I think unless there show up dates that don't match with x-com it could easily fit in.So if you are a fan of the genre and you can get it for not too much money buy Crime Cities. The Veteran
I think I've seen the game as I remember the illustration you described. I don't remember the name though... I wonder if there's another game like it?Sounds cool though, I'll keep my eye out for it next time I go shopping!
Ki-tat Chung
hrm......is that copyright infrengment? is it microprose/hasbro/info granny?
Bastiaan
No, techland and EON Digital Entertainment, I think as I look at the credits their from Eastern Europe or Russia as they have Russian sounding names. I don't know how far copyright reaches, but large cities with big corporations and flying vehicles existed before Apocalypse if I am right, so the only things are the flying hovercars which look like those in Apocalypse, and a big spacestation which has some things in common with the bases in interceptor. Wormfist
I actually bought the game (not aware of your post here yet), but I threw it in the garbage within the 10 minutes after starting thegame. Why? Because it was ALL in german. Everything and even if it was possible to change to english, the voice overs and mission movies would still be german. Well, too bad... - [Wormfist]
The Veteran
Why is it that Hasbro always sell us German games in English boxes??? Interceptor, Crime Cities... The only English Hasbro game I have is Roller Coaster Tycoon and that's not even a legal copy!
Bastiaan
Strange, the Netherlands lies next to Germany and we only have games with the English language, and a few Dutch. Crime Cities was completely English, not German.Oh, and Crime Cities isn't from Hasbro.
