Space Voyager
I'll probably just sod off. The remarkable part is beyond me. Meh, at least there are no more diapers to be changed. Thinking about it, that's pretty remarkable!
Thorondor
@SV: well, the truth is we will likely always be remarkable, at least to a select few people... and you should have about a decade or so before diapers make a comeback in your life, so make the best of it while you can. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj0CmnxuTaQ

Thorondor
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNIBE64CAgs :: Tens of millions of unexploded WWI bombs still litter the fields of eastern France one hundred years after the war ended. And people still die when they accidentally explode - farmers, collectors, and occasionally even members of the de-mining teams sent to defuse and destroy them. VICE News embeds with a bomb squad in Metz, near some of the deadliest battlefields of Verdun, as they go about their grave, daily mission driving to farms to gather unexploded bombs, defuse them, or safely blow them up on the spot

Space Voyager
An inspiring story. Nice to see that humanity was alive during all the bloodshed. I'm speaking about the cat three posts up.

Space Voyager
Nothing new. Also he withheld a lot of really useful info, like that neutron stars are really useful for fast travel across the galaxy while white dwarfs are absolutely NOT, as they are way more dangerous and only offer a 1,5x the jump range. If he wants, I can take him to see some, I have two spare seats in both my explo ships.
Thorondor
@SV: well, a veteran like you actually taking him out there for a spin, for real, would literally blow his mind. And that's a scientific fact. :: Meanwhile, more grounded affairs are being revisited: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJ-7H5GCNp0
