Pete
Just a quick note to say that I'm implementing the forum skin this week. The basic bits are in, but some parts may look a little odd. You'll have to try and get used to a heck of a different layout as it's a much more integrated look so a lot of features will be in more sensible (welll... I think so) places. Why implement an unfinished skin? I need the feedback and I wasn't 100% sure that the design on my site would work live. It does, so here we are. Zager
Where the heck did the view new posts button go?
Strong Bob
Nooo! Once again the 800x600ers are denied!!! Ahem... The page is a bit difficult to view again. Pages are too big. The old layout seemed a bit more user friendly too... Or I'm just being nostalgic.
Bomb Bloke
Uh... it's all weird... Hmm... wasn't there an option for users to change their skins? ... You know what I mean, don't look at me like that! * goes off to tinker * Not that it looks bad, mind. I just like speed, and for speed you need familirity. BladeFireLight
Oh my eyes!! B) finish up the rest of it please... the light gray mixed with black is hard on the senses. also: were you intending this to be framed by the main site? -Blade FireLight
Pete
What light grey? Where? And... yes I was intending it to be framed by the main site. I understand that this design will take some getting used to and that everything's in a weird place, but to have a large bar down the left and have the posts laid out how they were would leave about a quarter of the screen width to display the posts in for 800x600 users. Seriously though, if you're seeing lots of light grey on the main forum view, you're not viewing it on an up to date browser. It should be transparent I misplaced the new posts button (my bad) and shall be putting that back in ASAP (soon). Erm... as for 800x600'ers... sorry, I always have to make it a living hell for you lower res guys don't I? I suppose I can do a slightly different skin for you chaps... Strong Bob
Seriously though, if you're seeing lots of light grey on the main forum view, you're not viewing it on an up to date browser. I updated my browser last night, and I'm still seeing the painful light gray. Are you sure that's the problem?
Pete
Hmm... nobody should've been seeing light grey at any point... strange. IE6+ and Firefox/Mozilla/Opera latest versions should have rendered it fantastically, but with one problem and another I've gone back to the old one for now. Curse this modern technology and its ability to make skinning this forum so darned difficult! One browser to rule them all! (Firefox)
