Space Voyager
Is anyone playing? I'll wait a month, two or a year for a new comp probably.
Bomb Bloke
The required specs are actually pretty close to Oblivion. Probably because the game needs to run on the current generation of consoles... Which also run Oblivion. I'm somewhat tempted, but I dunno. Putting aside the very many other games in my pile, I don't like the way certain mechanics have been dumbed down. That said, certain videos make me sure I'd have a ball playing it. Obviously, these aren't the sort of videos Bethesda themselves would publish, which is ironic as they're far more effective in terms of advertising to some of us. Mods are what I'd be waiting for. Not only will they fix bugs and improve performance (something we can assume Bethesda is also working on), they may be able to re-introduce some of the old features. Hmm. I'm starting to think that maybe I only like TES games for their bugs. It wasn't until I heard about the joys of exploiting alchemy in Morrowind that I finally started playing that game (however many years after buying it!). In Oblivion, I can easily amuse myself for half an hour or so abusing the ramp bug to attempt to jump on top of the temples (haven't made it yet... just a few more speed enchants and I reckon I'll do it, though...). silencer_pl
This is funny - but you will facepalm when indoors items start flying and some may hit you and you can die Happened to me - got killed by kettle
Bomb Bloke
Ah, good point. I may take more pleasure in hearing about those sort of bugs happening to other people, rather then myself.
Azrael Strife
It's a good game, I'm enjoying it a lot more than Oblivion, though I am thinking that doing side quests is hazardous for your health, there's just so many of them, I think I'll stick to the main one... Space Voyager
Any necessary mods out already? Any necessary mods out already?
silencer_pl
I have a small list already - but depends on your licking Realistic_Ragdoll_Death_Force-601-1-0 - this is a must it reduces the force on deaths meaning if you cam kill the body won't fly away (same with magic) Improved_Destruction_Magic_v1_3-611 - if you are mage it is good to have because destruction magic is shit in this game. Clothes_Improvement-113-1-0 - better texture qualityArmor_Improvement-106-1-0 - better texture qualityEnhanced_Blood_Textures-60-0-01 - better texture quality others I have that improves women - just pop in on skyrim nexus and you can take your picks Edit: Just follow this to know about good mods for Skyrim:
Space Voyager
Some realism mods. I can't play the game but that doesn't mean I can't drool about it, right?! https://pc.gamespy.com/pc/elder-scrolls-v/1216616p1.html
Space Voyager
So, what would Skyrim look in 2012? Here is your answer!
silencer_pl
I think you call that Skyrimized world Well Skyrim will rocket skyhigh when Creation kit hits the net.

silencer_pl
I haven't played Skyrim for quite a while and haven't finished it. Damn this game is big so I will not watch it. Not to mention that some kind of DLC (bleh) is coming.
Azrael Strife
Just focus on the main quest, and optionally the Civil War quest, after that the rest is just a bit too much. Those two are pretty large on their own anyway. The Civil War quest could have been done a bit better, but it was fun nevertheless.
silencer_pl
Installed the mods presented in the video that Thorondor mentioned here: https://www.strategycore.co.uk/forums/topic/9310-random-junk-found-online/page__st__520#entry122553 Well I needed to start new game because my old saves went bye bye... 82 hours of playing bite the dust. I've started the game and stopped after being freed from the chains. I can only say that it looks different. I played the game on GTX460 now with GTX660 I have more FPS and definitively with those mods the game looks better on the first look. Might tell bit more when I will get to the more greener pastures. silencer_pl
Played a bit - gone to Whiterun. I don't know if I have the same lighting as that guy, but with those textures and some other mods game looks quite as the PC games should look like (Crysis excluded). This is the cave when you run from Helgen Outside of cave on the road to the first village - following Legion guy. Additional grass and flora. Inside the first Draughar(sp?) cave. I must say - almost like photoshop. Mountains near Whtierun. Whiterun center at night. The gate of town. My char with custom armour and body. silencer_pl
Well here is some more. I've changed a bit with the mods I used other mod for light. Now I use proper from the movie. Now the colours are bit more cheerfull. Outside of whiterun A bit south from Whiterun: A front of a bandit cave east of Whiterun: Heavy snowing in the mountains A redo of that Durgar tomb Btw: Outdoors my PC runs on minimum 30 FPS. And that is i5-760 @3.7GHz, Gigabyte GTX660 OC, 8GB Ram... so yeah... when new Intel CPU comes I might go for SLi or probably wait with SLi for GTX760
silencer_pl
I took the pleasure to make more pics: Skyrim at Night: Inside the Inn: Jarl's palace: Draw bridge - the chain used to be flat, now it is almost 3D So as you can see this shit is real. No photoshop used here.

Space Voyager
All taken as such, no worries. Skyrim, SotS2 etc. are definitely games that a new comp will meet instantly - until then thank you for showing them, love looking at beautiful things. Thorondor
Here's how you can take it a step further... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxwknXZ_fR0 :: The Omni is the first locomotion device that is affordable for household consumers, fits in a living room, and above all, enables the user to walk freely and naturally in virtual environments. Kickstarter campaign reportedly coming soon.
