MechWarrior4 Mercenaries released for free!

I'm sure this was discussed some time ago and this is likely old news by now, but the folks at Smith & Tinker (the chaps who bought up the old games from what I remember) have finally managed to work out the kinks and pretty much handed MW4 Mercs over to the guys at MekTek who have been working so diligently over the years to bring us new addons and features to the game.

 

After a long wait, and several major new features announced for this classic title, it's now available here: https://www.mektek.net/projects/mw4/

 

When I get a spare lifetime I'll go back and play it with all the new Mechs in as well as those Mek Packs I didn't want to pay Microsoft money for

 

Oddly for what is now such an old game, I was playing it only a few years ago and marvelling at how fun it still is despite the ageing graphics. No idea why I found that odd as I still play UFO, but there we go

I haven't played a MechWarrior game in about ten years. Front Mission has been filling my giant walking robot void. Nice of them to release MW4 for free, though.
