Back in 2018 Al Lowe (Sierra game developer for Leisure Suit Larry, King's Quest, Freddie Pharkas & dozens more) invited Paul and I over to his home to dig through his collection of original game source code and files. This is over 28 minutes of behind the scenes I originally shared on Patreon but now I am sharing it publicly since it's a great piece of Sierra history from employee #20.

Over at PCWorld Gordon Ung writes about how digital game retail outlets can shut down your account and how GDPR policy might have a role in the deletion of games you've "bought".

 

WTF?! You can have everything taken away just for not being active in 6 months?!?!?!? Which outlet is that? Steam?

@SV: take it easy, man, don't have a stroke or anything. tongue.png As per the linkage, it's Ubisoft that's being more specifically mentioned here but do check out the article in its entirety as it's a useful read. Does make one appreciate GoG that much more, for those few games that are real keepers at the very least. Otherwise, you know there's no turning back the clock here.
