Which I definitely hope we never achieve. @SV: it's what we more readily think of, isn't it? Self-aware AI. But we'll have problematic episodes well before that. VERY true. I was stunned by the readiness to NOT understand what goes on under the hood. In essence, there are still deterministic laws governing the algorithms (as far as I know) so things should be clear and predictable, however hard to calculate.
