NoXTheRoXStaR
The Urban Legend is Legend no more. (Buried copies of the 1983's E.T. the Extraterrestrial found!)https://games.yahoo.com/news/diggers-ataris-e-t-games-landfill-193256509.html https://www.gamespot.com/articles/buried-copies-of-failed-movie-game-e-t-have-been-found/1100-6419235/ Funny note, I use to live in New Mexico in the early 2000's and remember driving through the town of Alamogordo on a job project. There was a billboard with E.T. on it and the woman at the diner had told me the rumors about the game. That was the first time I even had heard of the mass grave. Heh. Space Voyager
Bah... unless the Sun goes nova, we are far more likely to build safe havens on Earth than to leave for the planets or even stars. Drill, build under water, whatever. We have a LOT higher chances to restore Earth than to terraform anything else. And we can save far more people that way. But sure, having humanity elsewhere would give us an extra chance.
Thorondor
@SV: You do realize that, regardless of the rather sticky situation with our own Sun, there's also the matter of the collision with Andromeda? I say we hightail it outta here presto! ::
silencer_pl
You mean Asteroid not Andromeda - don't you Mr.T - Andromeda is constellation and another galaxy.
Thorondor
@silencer: I do mean Andromeda, the galaxy. So, I take it you're not familiar with the predicted event to take place just some 4 billion years from now? ::
Space Voyager
He he he, if we're not outta here by then, we never will be... And, while I do care about the fate of Humanity, that particular event does not scare me too much. Yet.
