Wargot Ship (Spoiler Alert?)

i've done some searching and i can't seem to find the work around so i'm trying to find something here.

 

i've progressed far enough to manufacture the ship and invade the wargot ship. i got to their ship and cleared the first part but, after that i run in to a problem. the sceen from the scientist from the laputa show up and she tells me about what to do. then after she's done and i get to where i suppose i should pick the next spot, i crash. i read something about if you kill the wargots then you will crash so i tried both killing them and not killing any of them (using win_mission) and i get the crash both times. i can't get a screen shot for you though because i can't get the game to alt tab so i can paste the screen onto paint.

 

does anyone know a workaround for this, or am i screwed and can't progress?
