A bit of crunch time for most devs is probably not a problem when they are making a game they really care about, but working for EA or Ubisoft and having to work silly hours per week, it's not worth that. FullAuto Posted May 16, 2009 Share Posted May 16, 2009 Had a friend who did QA for a games company here in the UK, he did it for two years and by the end of it he didn't game recreationally any more. FullAuto Posted May 17, 2009 Share Posted May 17, 2009 Seems to be a very common entry level, and it brings you into contact with a lot of people in various different departments. To be honest, I've never been sure about how else to get into it. I know a few places do degrees in various game-related areas, but it mainly seems to be for artists and programmers.
