sirgalahadwizard
Just thought I would pass this along, that there is an emulator for dos-based programs that allows them to run easily in windows, without messing up the sounds (the emulator uses the old sound libraries most games back in the day, including xcom, are based on). I rely on it to run xcom and xcom2, and it's been invaulable for me. It's called DosBox. The newest version is like .70 or .72 or something. Its available over at sourceforge.net. Slaughter
Thanks for the heads up. Actually, the X-COM games at Steam runs with DOSBox (and also include the Collectors Edition that runs on XP without DOSBox), but nice to know for people that do now have the Steam version.
