DeathFromBelow
Hey everyone, new to the forum and I have a question: I just recently got all the x-com games from steam, and I was wondering if I can still use the XcomUtil with it, and if so, I read on the wiki about it that you have to unpack it to the x-com folder, but I can't find the specific folder because of the fact I got it through steam, any help? Also would I have to start a new game for the effects to take place? Or would it be retroactive?
Zombie
Yes, you can use XcomUtil. It's a little hard to find (an nonintuitive) but if you let Steam install to the default location, your X-COM folder should reside here: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\ I don't think you need to start a new game, but I always do just to make sure all the changes are initiated. - Zombie
Triv
A quick question regarding X-Com on Steam and xcomutil:I'd like to run Ufo Defense via the xcloader.exe and not run it through steam+dosbox directly, but I would still like to use the xcomutil fixes/settings. How is this possible? When I run the game via steam, the fixes/settings are applied. But they are not through xcloader.exe Thank you.
