One module gap between the station and the repair bay/access lift is generally quite a reasonable range. Minor Annoyance Posted October 14, 2008 Author Share Posted October 14, 2008 I'm starting again at novice and my first base will be the one that looks like this:XX XX XX XXXXXX XXXXXX XX XX XXbecause it's the only starting base that will put the repair bay near the lift. Another base has the lift in a narrow hallway in the centre and since I can't place a repair bay near it I might make that hold my big labs and a few guards. j'ordos Posted October 18, 2008 Share Posted October 18, 2008 Well the standard security station uses the megapol plasma gun weapon stats, so it's range would be 900/16 = 56.25 tiles while the advanced one uses the disruptor gun stats. 800/16 = 50 tiles.
