SirTox
Hi, i have installed patch 1.6. Then i browsed through the gamedata.vfs file. In units\configs the only file is training.txt. But in the version 1.5, there are more files. So, the patch deletes files? I noticed it because i wanted to play the weapon rebalance mod, and it changes some other files too in units\configs. I wanted to make a mod, that replaces Ute with one of the others. But the file i need to do so isn`t there with the patch. I hope you can understand it. I'm bad in english. Slaughter
English is fine. This was a bug with the packing of the 1.6 files. There's a way to reverse it I seem to remember. I suggest you contact PetteriB or Stucuk to find out how, as I can't remember (something about repacking with the .vfs tool or something).
Stucuk
The first version doesn't "Delete" the files, it just doesn't properly re-create the Index table thing, so when you try and modify the VFS the VFS tool you use will read the VFS's index insted of the .ht for the position/size/etc of the file. The ht is created fine, so UFO: AL can still find the files (As they still exist at the same location inside the VFS). The versions of 1.6 released later have the problem fixed, they also contain all the files which "went missing" so you just need to install a recent 1.6 . - UFO AL Support Page
SirTox
Thank you! Now it works. The patch i downloaded first, was from StrategyCore.
