Allahcalypse
I purchased TFTD on Steam as soon as I heard. I thought it was too good to be true. It downloaded fine but it will not start up. I double click on it, the launching game window comes up and a little spinny thing comes over my cursor for about 5 seconds, and that's it. I am using Vista. thank you & god bless
Gimli
Here's the latest version of the Vista patch made by BladeFireLight. Use Turbo to avoid the jumpy mouse syndrom, if you encounter it. The suggestion was to set it to 40%, so start from there and tweak on your own.
Allahcalypse
Here's the latest version of the Vista patch made by BladeFireLight. Use Turbo to avoid the jumpy mouse syndrom, if you encounter it. The suggestion was to set it to 40%, so start from there and tweak on your own. I got your post on that from the Steam forum. Alas, it doesn't seem to make a difference. Before the patch it wouldn't start up at all (after 1-2 seconds of loading) and after the patch exactly same thing. Any ideas? Gimli
Well a good start would be to post your system specifications, that should narrow down the problem somewhat.
endersblade
I find that the Turbo program, and as someone mentioned in that thread, Core Afinity, does absolutely nothing for this game on my comp. In the Battlescape, I can't do spit because any time I touch the edge of the screen, it scrolls all the way to the edge of the map. I've tried setting Turbo to everything from 40% down to 1%, and it had absolutely no affect. Running Vista32, btw.
Gimli
You need to set the affinity on both Turbo (there's an option in the program) and the game itself. Also, don't forget to lower the scroll in the Battlescape options.
