Nicol.Bolas
Hi, I am another xcom trilogy, ufo trilogy fan. I am also hardcore ironmen player. I spent most time on TFTD, which was my first as well. Another great game i can recommend if Incubation: time is running out My tip I haven
NKF
That's a strategy mentioned frequently in the UFO forums. It's basically a psi (or in this case MC) academy where you sieve a large batch of troops to check their MC Strength levels. (need I mention that you should have more troops than lab space for the replacements between each month?) In TFTD, you generally get the MC lab really fast on account of it being reliant on a Deep-One/Calcinite terrorist (both aliens you want ASAP for other equally important reasons). However, to actually make use of your MC skill, you need the MC Disrupter. For that, you need a MC.Reader sample (why this is even reliant on the lab is anybody's guess!) and also you need a living tasoth sample to get one, which might take quite a while unless you let them build a colony. Then all you need to do is land, tazer the nearest tasoth, then drag it back to the Triton and dust off. Then you're on your way to mind control mastery. The game's pretty much over once you've got a few troops that have mastered MC, as the controlled aliens will be doing most of your dirty work work for you. But I guess that's technically one way to beat the game. - NKF
Nicol.Bolas
I believe only Tasoth squad leader will do, not soldier. Ion beam accelerators aquaplasticks plastick aqua armor zbrite *you must have MC reader in storage* live deep one ion armour mc lab live tasoth squad leader live lobster navigator ...... this path always works at me, some of the tips on research are wrong, the only two bugs I encountered are the neccesity to have MC reader in stock, before you research live deep one. Avoid Gill men commander, and avoid lobsterman commander until you have everythibg else done. I never even saw tasoth commander, so I don
