Hangovers are caused by a combination of 2 things: dehydration and a chemical called acetaldehyde. Acetaldehyde is a byproduct of alcohol metabolism and is what causes nausea, headaches and fatigue the day after you drink too much.

New Years Hangover Vitamin Cocktail: It should pretty much kill any hangover you might get after drinking too much on New Years:

The amino acid L-Methionine (1-3 grams)

Vitamin C (1-3 grams)

NAC- N-acetylcystine

B-Complex

Swallow down this Vitamin Cocktail with about 16 ounces of water and - you WILL NOT be suffering from any nausea, headaches, or fatigue. Take these vitamins before you go out or before you go to bed and you should be pretty much pain free. Ive used this remedy many times and it definately works.

Other things that you can do do reduce your New Years Hangover and Fatigue:

1) Stick with Clear types of Alcohol - like Vodka, Gin, or Clear Rum. These contain less of a chemical called congeners. Congeners are toxic chemicals that are created when the alcohol is undergoing fermentation.

2) Avoid Cheap Liquor, for the same reason as above. They are more likely to contain hangover causing congeners.

3) Drink Wine. Wine has a lower amount of hangover causing chemicals, compared to beer.

4) Take 2 Asprin at Bedtime. Aspirin will inhibit prosaglandins and deca=eases the amount of pain you are going to feel the next day.

5) Drink at least 16 oz. of water at Bedtime. Alcohol causes dehydration and dehydration is a major cause of hangover fatigue, and headaches.

6) Eat Breakfast. This will help your body return to normal the next day. It will increase your blood sugar levels, which may be low after a night of drinking.
