How much cooler does the plan view of the hangar look than the in-game isometric view! Zombie Posted May 4, 2004 Share Posted May 4, 2004 Sometimes the small (Plan) view from the base facilities menu is a lot better than the Isometric view! The Plan view is normally more colorful and therfore more appealing to look at. But this is not always the case. A while back I made a list of which facilities look better in the Plan view and which look better in the Isometric view. Plan View Isometric View Hyperwave Decoder Grav Shield Hangar Alien Containment Access Lift Workshop Mind Shield Laboratory General Stores Large Radar Living Quarters Small Radar Missile Defenses Laser Defenses Plasma Defenses Fusion Defenses TIE ------- Psionic Laboratory ----- TIE I give the psionic laboratory a tie - orange in the Plan view, and blue in the Isometric view. NKF Posted May 5, 2004 Share Posted May 5, 2004 Actually, making a circle base in the middle of the hangar wouldn't be too difficult, since you must remember that the tile faces can be reused. It would still mean more new tiles, but it wouldn't be impossible.
