Drones and Weapons

Well, I'v built a few drones, some turrets, and some weapons. Trouble is that when I equip the turrets with multiple weapon slots I can't equip ANY weapons. It tells me that the weapon is not useable.

 

Am I missing something obvious, not so obvious, or is my game bugged?

Do you have enough weapons to fill all the turret slots? 1 for single slot turrets, 2 for double slot turrets and 4 for quad-turrets. You'll also need the same ammount of ammo available for loading the turret weapons aswell as for reloads.

Yep, it's a two slot turret. I have a laser cannon and a rocket launcher with plenty of ammo for both. When I try to load the first weapon into the turret it says the robot can't use the weapon and won't allow me to drop it to the turret.

 

Not interested in doing a single weapon drone, so this is precluding any drone use at all. Kind of frustrating.

I don't think having a multiple-different-weapons drone is possible. Double or quad-of-a-weapon, sure. Double gatling, double rocket launcher... but not one of each.

Cursiously enough, one of the loading screens shows a drone with one kinetic rifle and one laser rifle. Maybe the artist took too much license. (shrugs)

Yes, only same weapons are allowed on drones.
