Pumpkinhead
Since I was informed that an "elite" X-COM agent's maximum allowable TUs is 80 and not 100 as I thought, I've re-made the X-COM Olympics from scratch to make the neccessary adjustments I thought that while I was at it, I might as well make some other changes also, and so I've created a more "scenic" race-track and made an "Exit?" button to leave the program... Note: Make sure you press "Exit?" instead of ESC for another little added feature Here's the new file: X-COM Olympics [445KB]
The Demi-Godly One
Lol, nice job. I really like the animation at the end where it shows who came in first, second and third .
Snikers
I still think we need a civilian in these statistics...
Pumpkinhead
What are a civilian's TUs? Is each civie the same or are they randomised?? I would imagine that they'd be around
The Demi-Godly One
If I remember correctly I think the civillians TU's are 30. (That's an I think there, not sure about this)
NKF
Apart from the weight of the corpses, the way they look and their scream sets, the civilians are identical. I don't think it would make a difference, but what difficulty level civilians do you want? - NKF
cyrus
Well, now it seems that the speeds are more logical. But where is the zombie?
Pumpkinhead
I had to lose 3 units due to the 10-square width of the track, and so I got rid of the Cyberdisc and Tank because they were only on the sides anyways, and I got rid of the Zombie because he was the same speed as the Silacoid... Insanecabbage
Nice one Pumpkinhead, if u do another 25m run, u should try and add some sound effects like the huff and puff of a zombie trying to keep up with the competition
Pumpkinhead
I thought of adding sound FX, but the only program I know that can open the UFO audio file is Goldwave, which I don't have a copy of, and I couldn't be bothered looking around the net for one
NKF
(Re difficulty level: in that same vein, what's the difficulty level that the aliens are at? Stats change with diffficulty level, hence why I asked) Look up resources on how to open the files as raw audio (that's how the UFO/TFTD sound information is stored). Learn how to do that, and you'll know how to load the sfx audio files and then convert them into any format you like. You'll just need to strip the non-audio information between the sound samples to get rid of those annoying clicks. - NKF

Bomb Bloke
Snakes can outpace people, Hoz. https://www.angelfire.com/games3/jeffy90/images/smilies/wink.gif 80 TUs for troops? https://www.angelfire.com/games3/jeffy90/images/smilies/eh.gif Mine always capped out at 75, at least in TFTD. Or haven't I been playing for too long? https://www.angelfire.com/games3/jeffy90/images/smilies/blink.gif
