Pumpkinhead
Here's a fun little animation I made using the X-COM units and their actual in-game speeds: X-COM Race [301KB] I hope you enjoy!
BreakMage
that was great, lol makes you realize how fast a Chrysallid really is... freaky.
The Demi-Godly One
Why is the power suit guy faster than the normal X-com soldier? (Does he have higher TU's because at the point you get power suits your units have more experience or something like that?)
Jman4117
The power suit guy is a tad too fast. Looks like he is at about 95 TUs conpared to the tank and the chrysalid.
Pumpkinhead
Why is the power suit guy faster than the normal X-com soldier?I put them both in to show the range that X-COM soldiers can have... The un-armoured soldier has the minimum 50TU, while the power suited soldier has the maximum 100TU...
FullAuto
Nice one, that was a laugh. I love the zombie shambling along at the back.

BladeFireLight
technicly the max is 255, but highest I have seen is around 97, hitting 100 must really take a while -Blade FireLight
Pumpkinhead
Well I got the game in '94 and my save games are dated '99, so that is wuite a long time, but I'm a little skeptical now... All of my stats (other than Psi) are at 100... Does that sound abnormal?? I don't rememeber using an editor at any point, but that's not to say that I didn't :dontgetit: Is 80 really the max TU value? How do you know that? and what are the other stats max values?? Jman4117
TU=80, Strength=70, Psi=100, FA=120, Health=70 (I think), Reactions=90. I forgot the rest.
NKF
Ah, '94. That means you probably have one of the earlier versions of the game that did not have the maximum caps. The caps are more of a guideline rather than a rule. You can get values slightly beyond the caps, but not too much. We had a recent thread discussing this. Check the "Formulas, Numbers, oh the agony" thread. It's probably fallen off onto the second page by now. - NKF
Pumpkinhead
If the max TUs for a an X-COM agent is 80 then that now makes Chryssalids even faster than they already were, completing my "race" in 5.8s now instead of 7.3s Speedy little buggers, aren't they
cyrus
Hmm, what is interesting is that Sectoids are faster than Floaters.
Nightshade
Whats also interesting is that I couldn't see it, the page couldn't be displayed Im sure it was good though.
cyrus
What page? It is simply a file, so you can right click and choose save as... or use some download manager.
Pumpkinhead
The original link no longer works as I replaced the old file with the new one, so if you click on it it would come up with an error... Try the 2nd link I posted instead...
