How do you find the "Irrigation"

I am missing one thing before I can research the final terraforming tech.

 

I have completed both moon missions.

And have recieved all the help from the laputations.

Captured Matriach.

 

Killed the reticulans but I am allied with the martians and expedition.

Do I have to go to war against either of them and capture the commanders??

I have only captured a soldier reticulan

I think you need to interrogate a reticulan commander to get the final reticulan technology you need to get the final terraforming technologies, however I'm not sure.

 

If you have wiped out the rebels then looks like you'll need to go to war with the expedition I'm afraid. This is one of the failing of the game to be honest, it's not very clear what pre-requisites you need to complete all research modules and it's very easy to get yourself in a position where they are unresearchable..........

I didnt get any reticulan officers. But did wipe out the Reticulans.

Then after some time, about the same time I had terraformed mars about 50% I got the humidity research options and advanced mining...... Weird.

Yeah some the pre-requisite triggers for research options are extremely obscure. One of the failings in the game to be honest - not enough back ground detail in what we need and what it is!
