newbie questions

1) I've quite a few guys whose training has remained at 0% since the beginning of the game. Say a few days. Other guys whose training I started later have completed. Anyone know why this is happening?

 

2) I've scientists in the residence hall and am trying to build a tactic training center. I can't seem to transfer those unemployed guys to build the training area.

 

3) I've some scientists whose profiles are red. What does that indicate?

1) Somehow you've managed to get them out of their trainingfacility. In the "people"-screen you can move their pictures to the university (scientists) or polytechnics (technicians)

 

2) scientist are to be trained at the university

 

3) Red profile means that the person is employed at the surface. Return hir or her to base to make available

1. this seems to be something of a bug, it happens to me too. If I have someone in training and then take them away to complete a mission for example, sometimes when they return they go right back to the training facility (be it polytechnic, University or Combat training) and carry one without any input from he, other times they go to the residential centre and do nothing.

 

For those people, return them to the appropriate training facility, highlight the skill you are training them in and then re-click the "start training" button. This is the only way I can get them to carry on with the training, just placing them back in the training facility doesn't work.

 

Seems to happen for the dual class Scientist/Soldier class more than the others for me though.

1) Units are pulled out of training when they have to visit the hospital. I'm assuming this is because they have to physically to be at a different place. By default the game automatically sends damaged units there. When they return they do not start training again.

 

2) I've had a similar problem, which was due to the civil engineering being scrolled to the right little. So I actually had 4 people there, but it was only showing the last two (as civil engineering can have more than four people in it; just like residental section), then i just kept dropping the two that were allready there, on the civil engineering tab over and over again.. try dragging the little bar underneath the faces, or check from their profile where they actually are working at.
