Pumpkinhead
How can I take screenshots from UFO? I know I've done it in the past because I have the aliens UFOpaedia images, but can't for the life of me remember how I did it! I've tried the obvious hitting the "Print Screen" key and nothing is sent to the clipboard... and I've also tried a screen capture program called "Print Screen Deluxe" and it didn't work either! The only difference to when I captured the images years ago and now, is that I'm now running XP, so maybe "Print Screen" in XP works differently... I really don't know... Any help? BreakMage
Press F12 in game, and it saves it as a Targa image file (.tga)

Bomb Bloke
I always just used PrintScrn, or Alt + PrintScrn. The problem was the image captured was double resolution (640x480, or some such).
NKF
Dos version: The Printscreen or alt+printscreen method works fine. Don't know why the resolution is doubled, but it isn't much of a problem. Windows version: The F12 screencapture key is the only way to do it. The printscreen method works, but the palette information is not saved, so when you paste it, the image is ruined and the unique image information is lost. - NKF
Bomb Bloke
Ah... can the windows version be played in a window? If so, try taking a full screen shot. You may have to up your screen res. Probably just easier to use a tga file.

NKF
There will be no indication that anything's happened after you press the F12 key. Go to your file explorer (or whatever you prefer to use to navigate your harddrive) and look in the directory you installed the game. Look for all the *.tga files. Those will be your screenshots. Just open them up with your favourite image editor or viewer, export them or copy/cut at your leisure. If no targa files get created after pressing F12 several times while playing the game, then you're probably using the dos edition. - NKF
