AlanatXcomHQ
Try looking at this page and see if you can find the Game Client. Because I can't see one. https://www.fileplanet.com/filelist.aspx?s=100960&v=0 EDIT: I've also had a look at the Utilites of the game, and there is stuff there. So I suppose that they've taken the game down maybe.
Pete
Hmm... it's not there any more. Maybe someone really is making a new one: https://www.strategycore.co.uk/forums/index...ic=5563&hl=
Bomb Bloke
I searched the site, and TFTD is gone as well. All they have at the moment is an Alliance trailer, some Enforcer stuff, and the Interceptor demo. Hmm. Time to modify the download posts, then. Azrael Strife
Fishy... and exciting as well, this change could really be a sign of an X-Com sequel in the making!
warpmaster
I was lucky. I could downloaded it before Fileplanet remove the game I expect that the rumors be certain and quick we can have a x-com of the 21st century Bye and thanks

jragu
Noooooo! I just tried the link, and it's not on File Planet anymore! This sux, I've been thinking about playing the game again (I've still got the original DOS twin-pack EFO-EU and TFTD versions) but they don't work in Windows 2000... What am I going to do to remove this XCOM itch? Does anyone know of any legal downloads (only 1 items on e-bat, currently at US$64!)
Bomb Bloke
Sorry, the FilePlanet one was the closest to legit we knew of, and no others are allowed here at this time. I recommend DosBox. It'll allow you to run your Dos versions under 2K.

Bomb Bloke
The DosBox site seems to be down just at the minute - Probably just a temporary glitch. The Wiki is a good place to look for starting tips, but let us know if you have any trouble.
Crus8r
The DOSBox site is still down, but you can grab a copy from the files section...its not the newest build, but it works great for Xcom and it features the nifty HQ2x renderer that is NOT part of the basic standard build... The HQ renderer is by far the best 'smoother' I've found...give it a shot and see what you think, you can always turn it off if you don't like it Crus8r
Bomb Bloke
Aah, that's right, someone uploaded that, didn't they? I've been avoiding DosBox so far in favour of real old hardware, but I've some experience with HQ2X. I'm doubting even my modern system could render a game at any acceptable speed that way though. Mouse Nightshirt
Damn, I wish I'd found this thread earlier to tell you important news. I heard off the grapevine that EU and TFTD were removed as fileplanet were "asked to remove aforementioned files by the copyright holder". WHat this indicates is too drool inducing to imagine.
