metalangel
Natural selection will, eventually, sort them out, no matter how much you coddle them, they'll let you down. Ones prone to panic/berserk/MC will run into the line of fire and die. Serves 'em right for signing up.
Talain
If they can run and shoot I keep them, and if they get psi-controlled, they get a nice hole in the forehead. (I screen the folks with heavy plasmas or blaster bombs for PSI strength, but not the grunts, which minimizes collateral damage until I can plug them in the head/prime all their grenades and run them into the middle of the enemy UFO)
Haijo
The Power OF Natural Selection Is Awesome. Although a bit of help from my hand also helps. I NEVER look at stats. If an unit gets MC or pan. or Bers. to much. POW! Dead. The Weak Fool.
NKF
I do hope you don't fire on your own men when this happens. The act of shooting and killing your own soldiers affects the morale of your entire squad. This can often lead to utter chaos (widespread panic) if your soldiers are already in a rather tight bind. Besides, if they die while wearing that brand new suit of power armour you just spent ages to build, you won't get it back. Of course, there is always the fact that the mind controlled bugger is carrying the Mighty Hot Plasma Stick of Justice. Decisions, decisions. And their consequences. That's what makes the game so much fun. - NKF
Haijo
I didn't know about the morale effect. My, this game is suprisingly complex for a DOS game! Anyhow, it's still worth the risk, but I only do it of course, when they're carrying a gun. (Which is, in my case, a Heavy Plasma)
