Zombie
Rebelstar: Tactical Command? Yup, it is X-COM related since the Gollops themselves created it. But the platform is GBA. New? Not really. It was released Sept 2005. - Zombie
hsbckb
These are the concept art of the second game of RTC. However, I am not sure it is true or not......
Zombie
Ah. Well, I guess we will have to wait then. No mention of RTC2 is even made. - Zombie
Slaughter
If so, Julian doesn't know... (see his post some way down)
Pete
Hmm, so Julian might be persuaded back to X-COM then (if he could get the cash together)... interesting!
Slaughter
You bet! 2K Games will hear from me soon...
Azrael Strife
You bet! 2K Games will hear from me soon... Now I found this post interesting. Abandonia is a great site - some interesting discussions too! It seems X-Com1/UFO is quite popular. I really should remake that game somehow!!! Pete
Well he does technically need the license for the games Hobbes
FullAuto
Oh, he can call it Ex-Com or something.
Hobbes
Well he does technically need the license for the games Hobbes I know It's just that I've been a fan of his games for ages (Rebel Star Raiders, Laser Squad, X-COM, Laser Squad Nemesis) and to read that comment from him really makes me wish that he'd give it a try. Oh well....daydreaming again
Azrael Strife
He could just make a game with a similar concept! we already have games mimicking X-Com (Aftermath, Aftershock, etc), but IMO they are not doing it good enough! Change a few names here and there, make a great game!
Pete
Ah, but he still needs a small fortune to pay a development team for around a year (at least) and feed his own family
Azrael Strife
He hasn't to do it on his own, he has a company behind him, I'm sure he'd get the support he needed should he decide to do so.
Pete
His company is basically himself and his brother (plus Julian Knott and someone else whose name I can't remember). Full-time work on LSN is just about keeping them afloat, and I know that at least one of the team works the rest of the time freelance on other projects. They couldn't afford to even take one month out to do a project of that scale at the moment without some serious financial backing. I'm sure he'd love to do something like this, but without cash it's not likely to happen any time soon.
