Bomb Bloke
So it's a clip from a TV show? I was hoping it was real, I took great delight in showing that to D&D players I know...
Krabjuice
Wait, he used a bow in close range? Doesn't he get a -4 to hit? Besides, the only class that can enchant arrows is the Arcane Archer... and he didn't look prestige to me.
Bomb Bloke
No no no - The arrow was fired by a chest, trapped by Goblin Sappers! That is what hit him!
Krabjuice
A goblin trap? How was it even set off, let alone actually working. Goblin barely put more then 5 gp of materials into... anything.
Pete
Mr juice has a point. He couldn't have been much more unlucky. Goblins can't have put a trap on a chest as as has been pointed out, they never horde away that much worth steling in one place... it's a conspiracy! Praetoris
only on a forum like this would someone join in on the discussion gotta love it
Bomb Bloke
Well, I don't think it would cost more then five gold pieces to put an arrow in a chest. It's just a couple of sticks with a piece of string. And that leaves you with two gold coins, which can go in the chest as loot.
Crazy Gringo
Well seeing it again and have read your little debacle I can say this....It was a magic missile trap on the chest....And magic missiles can not be avoid unless you have magic resistance or an shield spell cast on you....A Long bow with a magic missile spell on it.... I had that wonderful bow with the acid arrow spell on it in Dark Sun: Shattered Lands which was a very welcome pieces of equipment....But a measly magic missile spell on a bow?!? Unless it is a maxed out magic missile spell....Then it would hit you 5 times every time you got hit by an 'normal' arrow fired from it....*Mutter something about goblins and tries to make a magic missile spell work on his gatling gun*
