Praetoris
Hello fellas, Since you seemed to like the art I entered in the 'creativity contest' some while ago I figured I could post a little update for those interested. Here are two of my latest pieces:- Julia | Model Portrait- Symbiosis | Birthday Gift There's more at the gallery on that site as well, although most of it is probably a bit old by now : )dA Gallery In a week or two I'll hopefully get my site up and running again ( www.studio01.se ) and you'll get to see the rest of my art and work. ; ) - Hope you like it. Slaughter
Mmm, hotstuff! If you clad her in armour like Luis Royo does, and it's sold! Red Sonja... Seriously though, that is very nice work! The redhead is fine, and the darkhaired one is FINE! The brownish one could use some work however. There's just something wrong with the shape of her head... Praetoris
Yeah I know about the failed brown-haired girl "Julia" was kind of a response to my failure - practising on what I lacked last time. I might do some femme fatale like Luis's some day, it's hard to find time for it though. If you promise me you'll buy a copy I''ll consider it
Accounting Troll
Slaughter's got to pay off his bar tab first I rather liked the political satire as it does illustrate the gulf between how America regards itself and how the rest of the world regards America. I would also like to see more examples of the photographic technique you used with The Backyard. I realise this is going to put me in a noticeable minority on this board but Luis Royo style amour clad women don't do anything for me - I keep thinking that such armour would be ineffectual at deflecting a sword blow or an arrow. Praetoris
I wouldn't even call it armor, more like decoration
NKF
Armour? In fantasy, for women at the very least, the less armour they appear to be wearing, and the more revealing they are, the better the protection. Well known fact. It is therefore safe to hypothesise that a woman wearing 'armour' made out of as much metal as you'd need to make a coin and about as much cloth as a handkerchief would be nigh if not totally invulnerable. I don't subscribe to that claptrap myself. --- For Symbiosis, I feel the white side's eyes don't look quite right. I'm afraid that while I'm a bit arty myself (on rare occasions), I'm not versed enough in art terminology to properly explain what I think doesn't sit well with me - so please bear with me. Either the eyes are too sharp compared to the the image, which look soft in comparison, or it's the other way around. When I sit back and look at the image as a whole, the tend to stand out a fair bit, drawing your eyes towards them rather than the rest of the image. I'd probably have gone with shut eyelids myself, but I take it they're wide open to contrast against the right side's closed eyes? - NKF

Now THAT's some amazing AC points!
Bomb Bloke
I always wondered about that - she was remarkably powerful for such an early 'boss'. Though I believe the rule goes along the lines of, the less clothing, the bigger the monster/pet that fights for her.

Well she's a little messed up allover to be honest , but you made some good points about it I'd probably have gone with shut eyelids myself, but I take it they're wide open to contrast against the right side's closed eyes?Contrast, you got it There are alot of two-sided things in this one that most probably don't see, but if you look at it long enough you'll probably realise some of the 'hidden' stuff too.
