Novalith
Can't get fix of current posts in ShadowWarrior's topic....Forum seems to have imploded (probably due to ShadowWarrior's topic) In other words, I cannot access the Aftershock site or forums. Is this just me?
sandstig
Same problem here. Forum's stopped working just now, but the rest of their sites have been down for over a week now I think. I wonder what's taking them so long to get their website up. I mean, surely hosting with a temporary mirror wouldn't be too costly?

This could be because they are moving the sites, or it could mean some other things, which I am REALLY affraid to speculate on. I hope things come back up soon. sandstig
The announcement on their forums said it had to do with hardware issues, so I guess we shouldn't be too worried.

ShadoWarrior
Can't get fix of current posts in ShadowWarrior's topic....Forum seems to have imploded (probably due to ShadowWarrior's topic) In other words, I cannot access the Aftershock site or forums. Is this just me?Go ahead and blame my thread. I haven't been able to access the forums since before 0600GMT, and they are still down for me. EDIT: when I type in the forum's IP address (https://207.44.240.82/) I get a website not found message from their hosting provider (IPS Shared Hosting Server). sandstig
Still down for me as well, and I get the same results when typing in the IP address. I wonder if we'd be able to get through if we knew what alias they were using on that box... https://207.44.240.82/~ufo-aftermath or some such
Slaughter
Strange, I have no trouble getting through. Maybe they switched servers, and your DNS servers hasn't updated yet?

ShadoWarrior
Here you go (if that's the right one)That's the IP for their main site, which is still offline. The forums were/are on a different server. If you use the Firefox browser, grab the "ShowIP" extension and plug it in. That will tell you the site's IP address when you go to the Altar forum. Slaughter
Right, it's: 207.44.240.82 (I think)
ShadoWarrior
Right, it's: 207.44.240.82 (I think)That's the old IP address, which doesn't work for me. If it's working for you it's odd.
sandstig
Yeps, that's the same one we're trying to access. All we get on that site is the generic message from IPS when we go to https://207.44.240.82/. Must be some kind of odd DNS issue then. I can't access the site from a server hosted in Texas either. root@mercury [/]# host forum.ufo-aftermath.com ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached root@mercury [/]# nslookup > forum.ufo-aftermath.com ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached Edited to add, I still can't access the sites when I use OpenNIC's public DNS servers instead of my ISP's. Slaughter
Well, that's the IP I get. Very strange it's not working for you. I'd try to get in touch with ALTAR, but at the moment I can't get through on e-mail, and PM hasn't been answered.
sandstig
Try posting about it and see if they respond... the announcement on their forums mentioned that even their e-mail was down. What ISP are you on btw?

Mikal
I've not had any problems accessing the forum. Then again I have the address in favourites -- https://forum.ufo-aftermath.com/index.php?showforum=7 On the topic of the server being down at Altar. This is taking a very long time to come back up according to many although it appears to be quite healthy today. IP for AS forum = 207.44.240.82 IP for AS website = 81.0.236.
ShadoWarrior
For those of us in North America, the Altar forums are still inaccessible.
sandstig
The forums are working for me now. Can one of you guys in North America try doing "ipconfig /flushdns" in your command prompt, then load up https://forum.ufo-aftermath.com/ and see if that works? Edited to add that the rest of the ALTAR sites seem to be up for me as well.

Slaughter
We keep the latest version of the Weapon Rebalance Modification here, and it usually doesn't take long for us to update when a new version is released. You still can't get to the forum and site?
