Relien
Hi, I've noticed a strange thing - the speed stat of some of my agents is different when they're in a mission than when they're at a base. Sometimes it goes 84 --> 80, or 85 --> 88. If it occures with some agent it occures everytime with him, always the same amount. It's not dependent on equipment. A bit offtopic: Are there some aliens that just don't want to be found in a mission? I'm searching all over the slums, unable to find anything and it still doesn't want to end. At least I'm playing in realtime, but still...
NKF
Sounds unusual. Is this before or after they've earned combat experience either from experience picked up in the battlescape mission or from the combat gym? As for your second question, that can sometimes be the case, although not necessarily on purpose. Usually the alien gets a bit confused and gets stuck in a room, or it gets physically stuck in a hole that it cannot get out of. Under normal circumstances, all aliens will either try to attack your units (when you get close enough), or flee from the map. When searching, when looking around a small room in particular, be sure to wait a few seconds for the map to update as you can sometimes miss an alien this way when performing very quick sweeping glances of the room. Use the alien noises to help you locate them. If you can hear it, it's somewhere nearby although not necessarily on the same level. If you've got a motion sensor, use relative motion to pick up any non-moving objects (i.e. watch the sensor while you're walking or running). This unfortunately picks up corpses, so it can cloud your sensor readings a bit, but it's one of several methods you can use for locating non-moving aliens. - NKF
Bomb Bloke
Sometimes aliens go hide in the toilets. Sorry, you just have to wander around until you find them. Dunno about the speed issue.
Relien
Yay, I got it. In realtime missions speed is rounded to the nearest number divisible by 8, preferably down. In turn-based it's ok. Thanks for the thing with motion scanner and motionless aliens. I will use it next time. In that mission I simply left and immediatelly investigated again, with no result of course Some brainsucker was in the neighboring building though... But one more question - can it happen, if I have a high score in the first week, that alien technology will advance so quickly that I'll miss some important UFOs (I think it's the type #3)? Maybe I'm just paranoid
NKF
Well, it's hard to say (that's to say, it hasn't been tested and verified). But as long as you keep your score reasonable, say within 4 digits, you shouldn't miss the type-3 straight away. - NKF

Blehm 98
I have never skipped crafts, but once i only had an FAS enter the city once, so the only way for me to continue the game was to cheat and get what the ship research that way. Believe me, it was tough, motherships, battleships, and bombers took away 1-2K points a week, i only survived off ground missions
