Youngy108
Ive recently got my hands on a copy of UFO & TFTD the problem is that they run to fast on my computer. Does anyone know how to slow the game down?? (time set on 0.5sec game run as if set on 30min)
Wired
You could try one of these programs: Speedset Pitset Bremse Turbo Personally I use Turbo, it's simple and I'm sure there are better ones out there, I just haven't bothered to try them...
AcidBoot
I use MoSlo. I only have the shareware version, which can only slow things down to 1% of normal, but that's fine if your CPU isn't faster than about 1.2GHz. My main PC is a 1800+ XP, and it runs a bit too fast on that, but it's playable. I mostly play on my laptop, which is only a P2-300.

BubbleLabby
For the moslo, the command lines that I use in my batch file (ie. ufomoslo.bat): @echo offcd c:\windowscommand\moslo /20 c:\windows\command.com then, open up the MS-DOS Prompt, go to your UFO directory, type and run the game there. Later, adjust the speeds of the troop and the aliens to your choice (during the combat). It works fine unless you type the moslo command twice, which make the game really slow. After you exited the game, change your directory back to c:\windows then type "exit." BL.
BladeFireLight
I have found under windows 98 that AT-Slow gives the smothest slowdown. but to each his own. for a link to AT-Slow check out the xcomutil home page. it's on there some where -Blade FireLight
Tammy
I've just gotten used to it running fast. I'm playing the CE verson on a 2.4 Ghz comp, and it really doesn't bother me. I'm the impatient type, though.
Jman4117
Could just find someone willing to part with a dos/win 3.1 machine. You can probably find some one willing to let you take it off their hands, 10 bucks at most.
Ice2056
The only disadvantage of a fast game is that if laser beams, plasma, whatever are fired at your troops you'll have no idea where they came from because they're just to fast. However it saves you a lot of time not having to watch lasers miss their target and strike a barn at the other side of the map.
