Warlon
I finnally got my copy, and have been gladly blasting away, but... no blasts are going off. I have tried turning my sound fx to max and everything else down then even put my speakers loud. I only hear the gunshots (barely) when scrolled very close to the folks firing, even then it sounds.. faded. I like my gunshots loud, very loud, they would echo across the landscape, sure maybe lasers are quiet, and of course with silencers, but I wanna her some booms too. Is this the way it was designed, or do I have some other issue I should look for? Is their a easy 'fix' to up the sounds? Remember,Win if you can, lose if you must, but ALWAYS cheat! Gimli
I'm not sure but I think sound generally isn't brilliant. Though I only have the demo. What kind of a sound card do you have? Here's a few standard things you can try, though: #1 Update your sound drivers.#2 Try checking the SW Sound box in the Options menu. This will change to Software sound, which isn't very good quality, but might solve the problem.#3 Go to Start --> Run and there type in dxdiag.exe. When the window opens click on the Sound tab. You will see a slider, move it to the left, until it says Basic Acceleration.
Slaughter
This was a problem with the demo, but I don't think I've heard about people having this problem in the full game. In addition to the things Gimli suggests, did you apply the patch? Also, check if the volume in Windows isn't turned all the way down.
Platoon Crusher
I know the sound isn't great, but if you zoom into the action you can hear the sound pretty well. The characters even talk.
Warlon
Turning off the acceleration seemed to help, it isn't as loud as i would like, but at least i can hear there is gunfire, I got tired of not being able to tell if anyone was shooting other than seeing healthbars and rare animations of the shot. Would still like it to be loud enough to hear without maxing the sound out and turning down everything else to just get a hint of it. Thanks for the input, if anyone comes up with a better method I will still be interested, but at least I can hear it now.
