Ki-tat Chung
"borrow"? are you sure? :: squints :: or are you playing a pirate? anyways, you could have just gotten the patch for 1.4 . it overrides the codes and fixes some bugs. if you want to fix the biginner bug, ur gonna have to instal XcomUtil. BladeFireLight
In the original DOS version 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 versions of the game afte the intro finished you had to enter a code from a spacific page in the book.they were listed on the bottom of every other page. if you did not get it right after 3 tries the game quits. a easily overcome copy protection.. it was removed with 1.4 as it was a pain and by that point they figured that if some one was going to steal the game they probably already had. now adays the copy protection used only efect ligitimat users as hackser usaly have a crack out the day the game hits the shelves.(NWN was one of thoes, so a later patch removed the worse of its protection and just stuck with the simple activation code/master server sceam) -Blade FireLight
