Thorondor
Against all odds, and according to several gaming news sites (Gamespot, Adrenaline Vault), a publishing deal for UFO: Aftershock in the US market has been struck with Trisynergy. A more definitive release date for that territory is yet undisclosed.
Slaughter
Yep The CMS has some bugs, so mine wasn't taken to the front page.

Thorondor
"Yep" Neo: Whoa. Déjà vu. [Everyone freezes right in their tracks] Trinity: What did you just say? Neo: Nothing. Just had a little déjà vu. Trinity: What did you see? Cypher: What happened? Neo: A black cat went past us, and then another that looked just like it. Trinity: How much like it? Was it the same cat? Neo: It might have been. I'm not sure. Morpheus: Switch! Apoc! Neo: What is it? Trinity: A déjà vu is usually a glitch in the Matrix. It happens when they change something..............................................................................................................................................................(from The Matrix, motion picture) :: Look out Pete !! They're in ! :(

mike9o
Thank God they got a US publisher, even if it is Tri-Synergy again! Their "revolutinary approach to software publishing" is code for "we don't advertise our games until they are already hits". Funny thing is, neither site mentions the deal. Sure this isn't a Halloween prank?
Slaughter
Thank God they got a US publisher, even if it is Tri-Synergy again! Their "revolutinary approach to software publishing" is code for "we don't advertise our games until they are already hits". Funny thing is, neither site mentions the deal. Sure this isn't a Halloween prank? Let's hope not! As you say, Tri Synergy is better than nothing. Hopefully they'll not fill the cover with X-COM quotes this time... thecyke
why "against all odds"?
Slaughter
They had trouble getting a US publisher. US publishers don't like anything that can't be classified as either FPS or RTS.
thecyke
Surprising, thought the 1st game had sold well.
Slaughter
Not really. Sold more in Europe. There are several reasons for this of course, but the US market seems difficult.
Pete
cyke - it did sell more than they'd ever expected, but their expectations weren't set that high Fortunately a strong European market helped as the publishers keep fluffing it up when it comes to releasing in the US. thecyke
shocking. i mean, Civilisation 4 is turn based, you dont see people moaning about that !
Pete
Yeah, but CIV 4 is a different breed entirely - it's more like a very complex game of chess whereas this kind of game you have to actually act out all the battles and that doesn't appeal to as many people (for some reason...)
