sir-roosio
Avast ye dogs! Although I fully support pirate day, Sir-roosio would like it known that he is a freetrader by royal appointment and as such is definatley not a pirate. Any ships that I may ransack, hijack, sink or burn are done so in the name of the crown and hence it is most definately NOT a pirate action. Now I'll get the wind to me back for I be going! Accounting Troll
Technically it's called privateering. A privateer is like a pirate except tht he has a letter of marquee from his government which gives him the 'right' to prey on foreign shipping. The government gets a cut of the plunder in return for supporting his efforts. Sir Francis Drake was the most famous privateer in English history. I'm afraid I wimped out yesterday and my sole contribution was a single "12.5%", which bemused everyone who isn't a Discworld fan
