Looting in New Orleans

Accounting Troll

Recommended Posts

The current death toll is still less then 100, but it seems that they haven't had time to count yet, and the estimates go up to 10,000.

Now, I'm working by memory, but have terrorists killed that many Americans? Exluding the soldier deaths in the war against Iraq, of course. I remember that stats being in the low thousands.

Does this mean Bush is going to start spending money on defense against the enviroment?

I've no idea how many people have died from terrorist attacks but you can garentee that more people in america have died from environmental disaters than in terrorists attacks.

Don't forget the various diseses and illnesses too, many millions have died from cancer and the like. Id like to see the comparison between medial research funding and defence funding.

Bush will have to spend money to bump up the flood defences of New Orleans, but I can't see him making any other changes to his environmental policies. The oil companies will see to that.

The good news is that after only a week of TV images of dead people bobbing around in the flood water, America has generously decided to let the international community help the few survivors. Shame on those who thought that Bush doesn't care about poor people.

And Bush has poured 60,000 soldiers into New Orleans to tackle the armed looters. The brighter looters have simply moved on to the other towns in the region that Bush is still ignoring.

Dolphin soldiers? I hope they will get caught quickly. I can already see the newspaper headlines if they aren't...

*Dolphin killed surfer with toxic gun*

*Marine trainedDolphin attacked bathers, with a gun*

*Marine dolphines attacked divers*

And the like...
