What? Like, ever?

#1 Streetfighter 2

#2 X-Com Enemy Unknown

#3 Ninja Gaiden (the Xbox one, not the original).

#4 Ikaruga

#5 Halo

Upon noticing this thread, I thought you were going to ask us our top 100. I'd got well into the 30s before noticing this wasn't so... :)

1. UFO: Aftermath

2. Medieval Total War

3. X-Com 1

4. Colonization

5. Star Trek: Birth of the Federation

I prefer UFO: Aftermath to X-Com because you never get to a point where you just can't lose. In X-Com, missions can become tedius once you've got a couple of good telepaths.

I can't believe that UFO: AM, Colonization (a Civilization spin-off) and Star Trek: Birth of the Federation never made the IGN list. And the Total War series was represented by what I regard as the weakest entry in the series :)

Some more i couldn't fail to mention:

- Jagged Alliance

- Star Control II

- Syndicate

- Homeworld

- Sam & Max

- Day of the Tentacle

- Grim Fandango

hmmm, top 5. . .in alphabetical order:

- F1 Grand Prix (any game which can have up to 42 multi players has to be there, plus GT style realism, on an amiga in 1989!)

- Goldeneye (N64-not 'Rogue Agent'!)

- GTA (the original-find GTA3+ are too rigid in thier mission structure!)

- Wings (stil the most involving game I've ever played!)

- X-Com enemy Unknown
