FullAuto
The film was diabolical. How you can make a film of a game where basically all you do is shoot people in slow motion and then the film has hardly any action in it, and the action there is is a bag of spanners....it's beyond me. Isn't Stalin vs. the Martians taking some stick in Russia?

Slaughter
Never played the originals, which are up on GOG. Any good?I played Shadowarrior, Duke Nukem 3D and Redneck Rampage back in the days and enjoyed it quite a bit! Not sure how good the old ones are these days thought (been a few years). I know games like Shadowarrior and Duke Nukem are still innovative (shrink your opponent and step on him etc.), but can't remember for sure with Redneck. Humour I believe was the greatest appeal... Pete
AvP3? FINALLY! The multiplayer on AvP2 was a lot of fun, but the game's getting a bit dated now. The games are certainly better than the films in pretty much everyrespect (including better storylines as well) so are definitely worth a look. Space Voyager
AvP3? FINALLY!HELL YEAH! The multiplayer on AvP2 was a lot of fun, but the game's getting a bit dated now.You can still play SP mod Under the Hunter's Moon. Great mod. The only things I resented were:1) A lot of instant deaths. I hate those. Staircase crumbling with you in the middle, with no visual representation of its state? Not fun and definitely has nothing to do with playing skill. 2) Also the mod makes you wonder who in the blazes rebuilds the damn pyramid after every hunting... After I got through it, there is no way in hell somebody else could recreate the same journey. Because there are simply not enough stairs left. 3) Aliens are too strong. Yes, the mod makes you tremble and this is good, but I would tremble just as much if they were half as strong and they wouldn't use the head bite like a freaking machine gun. I would just reload a whole lot less. Even without the stairs and with knowing the path the task of completing the mod in one go is impossible. In A LOT of cases the alien bit through my head (perhaps more than once) even before it landed from its jump! Definitely not resembling the head bite from any of the movies or from playing as an alien in the games.
Gimli
3D Realms shuts down Shame. Thought this time they would make it. Not that I was a fan of DN, but even so...
Space Voyager
We can confirm that our relationship with 3D Realms for Duke Nukem Forever was a publishing arrangement, which did not include ongoing funds for development of the title Well, this part was more than obvious... No publisher would be paying for this long...

Gimli
Yeah, it's always possible it's a disgruntled employee, but honestly I wouldn't be surprised. Sometimes I really wish it was still the late 80s/early nighties. Ahhh, nostalgia. Gimli
This was so brilliant, I had to post it here: https://forums.steampowered.com/forums/show...p;postcount=160 Indeed. Even Battlecruiser 3000AD and Diakantana (remember when John Romero promised to make us his ♥♥♥♥♥?) don't come close to this- Only the ET saga is a match for its grievous incompetency. Since this is basically unmatched, I'd like to propose two new scientific measurements: Nukem (Nk): the degree of falsehood or illusion over time that an object exists when is does not. DNF has a value of 1Nk. Values greater than 1 are possible but unlikely. Broussard (Br): a measure of gross managerial incompetency over time. 1Br = 12PHB per year. Note that in total DNF has 12 * 12 = 144 PHBs... scary.
