Slaughter
Our future doesn't exactly look bright when these geniuses are to be leaders at some point in the future...

Zombie
Jumping off of a brigde into a river which is only knee-deep? Come on! Bystanders were even screaming for those guys to stop, because of the body count piling up underneath that bridge. Not only is that stupid, but also suicidal. All it would take is one guy to fall the wrong way and break his neck and die. I say: let 'em. Don't put up any barriers, post any police officers or paramedics. If you are that stupid you deserve to suffer. That would certainly reduce the idiot population in this world. Sure, college students may be smart in some areas but most lack one thing: common sense. One of my quotes which I came up with about 20 years ago still applies today: "People are generally stupid". Events like this only support my statement more. Matri
... And yet we still allow BB to wander around carrying his body weight in high explosives?
Accounting Troll
The thing that amazed me was that after the first few people got injured, there were still dozens more willing to do the same thing. Hadn't it occured to them that if the water had been deep enough to break their fall, it would have been deep enough to sweep them away? Also, the police banned the event for three years after someone got paralyzed in 2001.
Zombie
Yet, it still doesn't stop those "Lemmings" from jumping to their doom. Anyone see if a woman took that leap? I didn't. It must be a "guy thing". You know, the "man trying to impress the women syndrome". Or in this case, "macho boys who think they are invincible"!

Strong Bob
This isn't much. I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that none of you has spent more than a week in any American city. Jumping off a bridge like a bunch morons isn't the half of it. I can name occasions where people have jumped off of a three story house just because they wanted to film it, right here in my hometown. (And they were sober. ) Fullauto, do you have American heritage?
FullAuto
Nope, all Brit. And jumping off houses isn't so bad. I've jumped out of worse, though I was drunk.
Accounting Troll
Worse than a house and a bridge? I'm dying to know here. Was it bungee jumping without optional extras like the rope? Some of the May Day jumpers were female, I'm afraid. These days men no longer have a monopoly on binge drinking and stupidity.
FullAuto
After the derision those students are getting from you lot, I think I'll just keep quiet. Suffice to say, they are much more stupid things people do all the time.
Bomb Bloke
I might have missed it, but did the page say what these guys were studying?
