vs322
Hope someone out there can help me; I just switched from the s2 editor to the s3 one and I am encountering some serious problems. The editor crashed about 75% of the time that I select one of my templates or create a new one. The message that I get is: The instruction at "0x5ad71531" referenced memory at 0x00000014." The memory could not be "read."(after this I have to say OK and the editor quits to the desktop right away) I got this message sometimes with the s2 editor, but nowhere near as often. Also, when I do actually get to make a new template sometimes there is already a structure there- of varying sizes and sometimes multiple floors- I have to delete it each time- and If I used a "make template form selection" command to make the new template both my selection and some other bulging are already on the template with loads of overlap. Has any one had these problems? If so please help- working this way is a nightmare. -thanks, vs
vs322
Ok, I have figured out the problem- It had to do with a conflict between a US s2 and a UK s3, but I have done a full re-install / re-patch and now the editor seems to work fine. It was getting really weird for a bit, I would create a new template and it would already have a building that I had made for s2 a long time ago on it- very odd and mysterious. Also I have been able to use the editor without the Microsoft server running... seems to work fine. -Ok hope that my headache helps someone elsevs
KoMik
Yeah... that sounded like some kind of paranormal activity . Good to hear that you managed to find out the solution (and you are back on the road ).
