Power Metal

So I've only recently discovered that there's even a GENRE called Power Metal. I found the band Hammerfall, and I think they are the absolute shit. I love the way they tear, the speed, the shredding, the energy. The lyrics are ridiculous and the singer sounds like his balls got caught under a lorry, but man! The guitar work is incredible. I particularly recommend their last album, Crimson Thunder, but their third, Renegade, has the most amazing three minutes of instrumental guitar madness that you'll ever need to hear. Ever.

But who else should I listen to? On Slaughter's recommendation, I listened to fragments of In Flames on Amazon, but they were a little too muddy and growly for my taste. I heard I should check out Manowar, too. Who else?

My apologies to you, Slaughter. I know you already gave me some other recomendations, but I forgot which thread it's in... A whipping later? ;)

OookooO...

I like basic rock'n'roll. There is many-many good bands but I think The Dwarves got 'rightest' attitude.

Rammstein!

edit: well...Dwarves is more like Punk-music than Rock but...well...do I have to care about that?...whipping is whipping...

---"Very Metal"...in old Brit-Com(BBC) tv-serie "Young Ones" character who name I don't remember but actor was Eddie Monsoon (funny man) has jacket where back that text was written---

I have been looking for good metalmusic record since I was teenager but I haven't found one what could make me 'feel good'. Here in Finland we have lots of metal-fans so our second-hand record shops are filled with old metalmusic records. I know that Norwegians got big metal-scene also so maybe I try that Kings of Metal... :) thanks Slaughter.

.l..l (<--why nobody use that instead of "lol" which looks to my eyes as guy who wants to surrender?)

---Lots of Love and .l..l ;) ---
