Markavian
Heya, Is there anything you can do about the font size in the forums? Like a) an option to make them bigger, b) some more compatable thing you can do with the style sheets so that when I pick 'larger font size' in Internet Explorer, it actually does something? Its just a bit of a strain to read long paragraphs for me. I'm copying and pasting some posts into notepad just tor ead them properly. Other then that, ace forums. Regards,- Markavian (Actually i prefer this size) (As apposed to this size)
Slaughter
It is possible that Pete can do something about this.
Pete
To be honest, the forum fonts are a bit bad. They're a lot larger and clearer on the skin I'm putting together fo the new site, but the size you prefer (which is also the one currently on the site skin) is a little large and makes the pages quite lengthy. As a compromise though, would the following font and size be better? It's a lot easier to read in my opinion This better? As for the Internet Explorer bit, for accessibility, it is wise, but not always practical to set your font sizes as em's instead of pixels. Firefox's text increase/decrease feature works regardless of the above font size tag issue, so in the event that you experience this problem on a lot of other websites, you may wish to check it out. For this site though, I'm hoping the above suggested font and size will do for now. If so, I'll change it right away
Bomb Bloke
Current sizes work for me. Perhaps we could have seperate forum settings, and allow the users to choose between them? Shouldn't be too hard to do that, I believe I've seen the options floating around to set it up... Well, I think that's what they did.
Pete
A separate skin could be set up with larger fonts, but as Markavian points out, and if the CSS was 100%, the "Increase Text Size" option in the browser should increase the font size with minimal fiddling (ie, creating a whole new stylesheet) from me. This is now running with the larger font I was talking baout though, so unless anyone has any further objections, I'll leave it as is.
NKF
It wasn't obvious at first, but then I started noticing minor variations in the fonts. I didn't think much about it at the time, but having noticed the font change several times now (I think several times during one session), I feel like I'm being driven mad. Mad I tell you! But eh, as long as it doesn't strain the eyes. - NKF
Pete
Well I'm hoping this one is easier on the eyes. As always, we welcome your feedback
