Jh316
So, I cleared out the top level of the ship with no problem but when I got to the second level, I saw that all my weapons had been unloaded. I lost all my cannon rounds, and half my grenades. It just vanished. All I had left was one belt of autocannon rounds, a small torpedo (When I started out with 4 belts and 4 torps), 5 sonic cannon clips on the ground, and my gauss pistol sidearms, modified to have infinite ammo by Xcomutil. I'm just glad it's a gillman mission, so my pistols can damage them. Maybe I'll be lucky and can get some reaction fire with the autocannon. Well, I just found my stuff. For some reason, it spawned in a pile on the opposite side of the ship.
Aralez
Was that equipment ON the soldiers before you went into the second mission? Or was it the stuff from the dropship?
Slaughter
Maybe a bug in XComUtil?
Jh316
All of it was on the soldiers. They kept their weapons on them, but not their ammo. I'm using 9.5, I think. It just did it again on an artifact mission. It's frustrating as hell trying to ru around using nothing but gauss pistols and scavanged weaponry if you manage to take down a Tasoth or something. At least I still had my shocksticks. Maybe it's the game's way of telling me I need to get my ass in gear and research those vibroblades.
Bomb Bloke
Ammo that is carried by your troops is flagged as such. However, it also has a position stat - which is set to the first spawn point your soldiers can use, that is, back in your ship. Equipment that is carried by aliens has it's position stat set to the place where each alien started off, but all of your carried equipment is set to the one place. My bet is that between the two halves of the mission, your ammo lost the 'carried' flag, thus snapping them into the battlescape - in a place close to where your ship would have been in the first half of the mission. You can test it out by starting a new mission, and then making sure you leave some equipment on the ground during the initial equip screens. You'll note it all goes in the one place. Jh316
Yeah, when I did the shipping mission, the equipment on the second part wound up where the Triton was in the first part. Never got far enough on the artifact site to see.
