FullAuto
What's that you say, Slaughter? You can download X-Com from FilePlanet?
Slaughter
You're just trying to annoy me, aren't you? I've announced this is quite a few threads...
FullAuto
No, Slaughter. I'm not trying to annoy you, I'm infantile enough to think this will annoy a few other people though. So I'm being blatant about it.
Accounting Troll
In the meantime, X-Com is still available to BUY on eBay. I've just searched for X-Com within the PC games category on ebay.co.uk, and I found six items.

Stun Grenade
What the?? Anywho, of course X-COM:UFO is abondware but the others are certainly not.. If I walked into my local Harvey Norman shop I would expect to see it... maybe... But.. UFO can be bought in those boxes with the silly discount publisher name! Slaughter
Thanks for the heads up shagpuss, but we've decided not to allow links to the abandonware sites for now. It is kind of a "grey zone" of the law.

Slaughter
No problem, we need to get the forum guidelines up again. I'll look into it once I get some free time. This week has been unexpectedly busy so far, and it isn't stopping anytime soon.

KoMik
Here is a game which hooked me under the turn based squad command. It is a DOS-game and like a lo-fi version of X-COMs(but no aliens and planet earth). I still sometimes play it with friends (it works best when played via hotseat (2-4players) because there is quite crappy AI, as usually). There is possibility to make(mod) new maps, weapons and armors ('editors' are very easy to use). Maybe you have already played it and I just missed some links here but this is the straight link to the other maker of Paybacktime2 page... and yes, I know it's a old and simple TB-game. k

Slaughter
The long-lost expansion to Shadow Warrior Wanton Destruction has now been released for free. You need the original Shadow Warrior (GREAT GAME!) to play it, and it can still be bought from 3D Realms.
