Oddball_E8
It seems that somehow, by just changing models, sounds and uniforms (ok i did change the ammo type of the thompson) there has been some changes to the weapon damage systemsome examples:i have a silenced mauser pistol that does 37-25 in damage (yes thats right... the high number first!)a 33/40 rifle that does 3-35 damageand then theres the ammo... manlichter-karkano clip (wich is just normal mauser ammo) does 27 in base damage whilst the 33/40 clip (mauser this too) does 33 in base damage... i have no clue as to how i have managed to do this and would like to have some help in rectifying the problem since i dont really want to play the game without my mod (now that its grown on me)
Biggles
This sounds like what might have happened to the German release. In theory they only did german text & voice changes, but the damage system got messed up in the process and they had to release a 1.11 patch. Anyway, in an unrelated post someone pointed out that there seems to be a field missing in the weapon damage table. Nival have said that will be fixed in v1.2 So what I am GUESSING is that our mods may be written to the databse and some values ending up in the wrong field because one that is expected to be there, isn't. Perhaps send your mod to Nival and see if they can tell you what is going on.
Oddball_E8
well ive figured out the cause of the changed weapon damage (and believe me when i say that i was surprised to find out) it was the fact that i had changed the sound!i had changed the firing and/or reload sound of most of the weapons... and all the weapons with changed sounds had new damage values...so somehow the sound the weapon uses is directly linked to its values...now i have to sit down and restore all the weapons to their original sounds (i only changed the sounds between the guns, not adding new ones)
Oddball_E8
Well it seems that it was something more than just the sounds after all...i changed back all the sounds and most of the guns were fine, but a few of them just didnt revert to their old values... like the silenced mauser pistol for example. this means that i wont be releasing a version 1.3 of my mod.1.2 is the final version. there will be another mod in a while tho... one that incorporates all the changes of this mod, but in a more refined way. for example i will choose every heroes uniform based on their background. right now there are some that have the wrong uniforms. like one of the germans that have in their bio a statement that they are part of the Heer and ive given them an SS uniform.things like that. but that will be when i have the time... right now i will just play the game... thanx for playing with my mod but this is it for now
